I don’t agree. To me, it helps to emphasize the ridiculousness of coming in swinging with a dick pic instead of starting an actual human conversation and acknowledging that the person you’re talking to deserves respect and has more going on than a hole for you to stick something in.

I mean, that’s the thing. We all know there are solutions. But governments and billionaires at this point have to make the solutions happen, and they have no interest in many places. Hell, they’re actively working on behalf of climate change and environmental destruction in the US just to own the Libs and to the cheers of the rabid troglodyte portion of its populace. You don’t just have to contend with getting the facts to people, you have to contend with being but one voice amid all the antifacts that everyone is bombarded daily on every topic.

I know I’m a doomer, but sans an effective virus that takes out 80% of the population and mostly targets anyone right of center and all of the billionaires, I don’t think we have this one in us.

Alright, according to the WHO, you’re incorrect on Amish. If you’re going to blame religious communities in particular for contracting and spreading measles, you want Mennonite and orthodox Jew. If you want to blame religious communities for promoting anti-vax rhetoric at the national level, you go evangelical specifically and Christian generally. And if you want to surmise what all of these have in common, it’s being republican and conservative in “values.”

Did you misspell evangelicals? If you want to blame any religious groups, you could possibly aim for those with any political influence or national impact. Or of any significance at all… Just a thought.
