That’s great! Then there’s also the times they do something horrible, explain what they meant to do, and that is so much worse. I remember them literally slamming a suspect’s head through a window, and when asked if that was necessary, he said he didn’t know there was a window there, he thought it was a wall. My dad likes that show On Patrol Live that used to be Live PD before the racial injustice action around 2020 that temporarily stopped the show because very briefly cops were unpopular. Fuckin all the time I hear them go “I know there’s a crime here,” and pretty much every time it’s a person of color. With white guys it’s real gentle, everything’s explained calmly, and if they do arrest him, it’s an unfortunate happenstance that he just happened to be guilty. With a person of color they keep digging until they “find” something possibly illegal and then arrest him. Like, they find a gun, take him to jail, then run to find out if he’s registered and legally owning the gun, discovering that he is, and then letting him out the next day to teach him a lesson about following the law and doing nothing wrong.

I, for a few reasons, am pretty isolated and lonely, and I fell into this trap. I came to understand that this was pretty unhealthy and not a substitute for interacting with real people. I still am isolated and don’t have a lot of interaction with folks outside my house, but I know AI isn’t the fix. And the whole bad for the environment and otherwise severely detrimental to mental health and critical thinking problems.

I guess that makes sense. My experience is pretty limited. It is important to refrain from antisemitism in combating the Nazi elements, but that certainly shouldn’t stop us from discussing those things.

I dunno. It seems like most of the people I see promoting the Zionist occupation are evangelicals. I guess if Israel is to be considered a Jewish state, then the attempt to eradicate other presence there could be considered Jewish supremacy. It feels like that is less common among Jews than white supremacy is among white people or whatever is going on with evangelicals. Most of the people I personally see supporting Zionism, though, are evangelicals awaiting their promised end of the world scenario.

I have an example of the opposite. In Cultist Simulator, a card game about summoning eldritch horrors and bringing about the next phase of the world, there are occult paintings you can make that represent a significant power in their principle. The Secret Histories painting is cut from the main game, but you can spawn it using the console. It depicts in a really silly art style two lovers significant to the principle kissing.

I would hesitate to say “psychosis is just like that,” but it’s can be. Not everyone suffering from psychosis is going to kill someone. Often they are more a danger to themselves and also pretty often victims of abuse themselves. Of course this particular situation looks like it could be dangerous, so it’d probably be a good idea for them to be admitted to a hospital. I still sometimes have psychotic episodes, but for me it’s often that something is coming for me. Nobody to kill or hurt, just some inexorable cosmic force coming to get me. I dunno. This is probably a case where they’re dangerous, but I don’t want people to assume this is what psychosis is always like.

I guess. The logic is sound. I guess that kink makes me uncomfy, but I shouldn’t shame someone for that. It’s hard for me to understand, but I know I don’t understand everything.

That’s kinda tough, then. Because even in a free-for-all, I would greatly support censoring out those particular topics. But I definitely understand this group doesn’t have the best intentions. I would love to believe the payment processors wouldn’t agree to censor general LGBT+ content, but I also know better than to have any faith in the profit machine.

I’m frustrated by white supremacists stealing runes. I think they look cool, when I get in certain delusions I want to use them in magical shit, and I love languages so I like them there, but I definitely don’t want to mess with white supremacy.

I love the House Republicans who said after their first vote that there were things in it they hated and that if they could do it over again, they would, who also proceeded to vote for it the second time 'round. Honestly this shit is making me contemplate figuring out firsthand if there’s an afterlife, but something about keeping promises and miles to go.

Even as a Christian myself, I don’t see the purpose of televangelism. (except grifting believers for money) Really the only hope you have of convincing someone to take your religion seriously that isn’t fear or violence is directly connecting to them. Like, genuinely forging a friendship where conversion is not even really a thing you’re thinking about. You can’t do that over TV. At best, these guys are only for people who already believe, and then they can just go to church and get a more personal experience there. Everyone else probably already knew this, but I guess televangelism is really just exploiting popular religion in order to make tons of money of desperate, lonely people.
