You sound amazing! Keep it up and please let us know how your half-tri goes.
I can’t help but read this as “mix-ed” up the plot. One of my favorite characters.
I’ll be the first to admit that in no way have I been even close to perfect in terms of doing all the doctor recommends, but I do cook 90% of my meals at home from actual ingredients, drink a lot of water, have a great group of close friends who like to get out and do stuff, and generally continue to stay active mentally and physically. I don’t have kids, so from what I hear that may help somewhat with sleep patterns. I definitely stay out too late on occasion, and probably drink too much alcohol, but am at a normal, healthy weight, and have good checkup numbers. So yeah, just that same old damn boring stuff…eat right, stay active, stretch, strength train, drink lots of water. Lame, but effective.
I will say, there was a time in my life when I was very unhappy with my job and location, so I sacrificed a lot to move across the country (to Denver) to pursue the lifestyle I thought was best for me. I was dead broke, and it sucked for a while, but ultimately, it was well worth the challenges and I feel like I got an extended youthfulness by doing that.
Best of luck to you…every time I have an injury, it renews my appreciation for trying my best to stay healthy.
FWIW - I’m in my mid-50s and still feel basically the same as I did in my late 20s / early-30s. All of these aging memes strike me as odd and/or maybe people who haven’t been kind to their bodies. I sleep like a rock on a normal bed, with one pillow, and wake up rested with no pain and get out of bed and do normal stuff just fine. Weird, huh?
Yeah, I’m hearing about 11M protesting today and like 20k at his Suckfest. Too bad it didn’t get rained out. Great to hear the turnout in your red area!
I’d venture to guess more like a million+. There were tens of thousands in Denver alone.
I’ll take the dog and rhino together please.
I shall start calling mine Sir Cheese.
Kids in the Hall…?
Any fine should be adjusted for income level.
I absolutely HATE when a restaurant forces me to use my phone to see their stupid QR code menu.
I understood the idea when COVID was a large factor, but now it’s just greedy and lazy on their part. I’ll tolerate it the one time and then won’t go back.
It should…it’s a direct reference to it.
There’s a Mexican restaurant near me that serves a cocktail with fried crickets as a garnish like that. It’s actually pretty good. They taste like corn nuts.
Inverted…? I suppose it could be accurate.
Hmm…saved by a steak sauce, I’m willing to give it a shot!
When you said video game you brought to mind a broader context for me. We often associate “a name” (musician, CEO, comedian, etc.) with a brand. But when you truly think of the number of people and entire industry involved in producing said art, it becomes a somewhat different question. Not necessarily easier to answer, and I really like your health bar analogy. I think to some extent it depends on what you personally are getting out of your interaction with the product.
Always a fascinating philosophical question to ponder.
Most foreign language apps teach in bite sized pieces. I use Mango, but there are a bunch.
Playing my dobro or basses. Really, making music of just about any sort.
