So after all Haru had a child as a vampire. This show turns everything I know about vampires from other media on its head.

This was an incredible show. My AOTY candidate for sure. The ending may have been a little bit rushed, especially the part where we see Marina overcoming her prejudice against Shizuka so suddenly, given how faint girls’ memories of Takopi were and how different it was from the pacing the show got us used to over the last few weeks. But I still think it was a great ending. The suffering is still there and they didn’t live happily ever after, but they lived. Sometimes it’s good enough just to have someone who listens to you and understands.

Well, they didn’t say anything like that but it would be pretty fucking weird if a vampire could get pregnant. What would be the point of making offspring via sucking blood?

So if we assume that Kabura isn’t lying, that means that either Hana is Nazuna’s twin sister Nazuna knows nothing about or she’s her mother. That would probably mean she had Nazuna before she became a vampire.

Maybe it does but I appreciate how they portrayed Renako as an introvert. They don’t show her as a person who is scared of people and doesn’t want to be around people but as someone who enjoys being around others, just being drained of energy while interacting with them. So often people confuse being an introvert with having a social phobia or hating people so it’s satisfying when the show gets it right.

I also hope they will not put a blame for that slap on Renako. Mai totally deserved it. If you think about it, this was practically an attempted rape.

The list is pretty spot on but I would put Clevatess and There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… on it in place of Gachiakuta and Leviathan

The true horror in this episode wasn’t the body penetration nor the monster in the woods. It was that lady at the counter

I still prefer to watch subbed because even if the main characters have decent VAs in the dubbed version, it’s way more common to have some disappointing performances among supporting cast there.

The atmosphere in this show is incredible. Welcome back crazy woman

I watched two episodes and dropped it because the plot was super generic and I was just incredibly bored with it. From what I’ve heard from people who watched it, it was like that throughout the whole season. I admit that this show had really good production quality but that’s not enough to keep me interested

It was an interesting start. The tense atmosphere was there and production quality seems really good. I’m always cautious when it comes to horrors because good ones are hard to come by, but this looks promising.

Is this even available anywhere outside Japan? I heard Netflix has it scheduled for September

I don’t really know what to think about this. At the first glance it looks good but it also seems that they’re rehashing the same scenario from the first season and Knapsack Kid movie yet again. And it gets boring to watch the same story but from a different angle for the third time. I only can hope this season gets more creative

I never would’ve thought that reaction “Wow just like magic” can be used in such a context…

While this attitude Shizuka had may throw some people off, I think this could be some form of her dissociating after witnessing a traumatic event

I guess all the happy shots from the trailer were just in Takopi’s mind.

I think we also may be seeing some events through Takopi’s eyes as an unreliable narrator, like those sparkle effects around Shizuka’s face. I guess we’ll find out in the next episode whether this was what I think it was or the show is starting to lose its footing by trying to be too edgy and doing things just for the shock value

That was a fantastic comeback. This airs at 5:30 PM where I live, but it was worth waiting until it gets dark to watch this. It’s best to watch this at night for the vibes. I think the first season had better opening and ending songs and I kind of wished they would’ve kept Yofukashi no Uta for ED but Mirage is not a bad song either and I think it may grow on me after a while

I was wondering how they’re gonna redeem Marina over time but I guess that’s not the case anymore. I didn’t expect Takopi to solve the problem with a blunt force.

I don’t think I can be properly scared by a movie these days but the best “scary” scenes in anime that made me feel uneasy were in Mieruko-chan, even though it’s only a comedy show with some horror mixed in. Some scenes from from the first season of The Promised Neverland may also fit the bill

I’ve put it on my list. It’s the only one that I rated 1/10

I generally don’t like sports anime – I didn’t like Haikyuu, I thought Tsurune was mid, and most shows of this kind bore me to death. But this season of Uma Musume somehow managed to pull me in. Every race felt unique, I was hyped for the competition, and the comedy bits were great, even though towards the end we’ve seen less of it. I’m really satisfied how this finale turned out. We finally have worthy competitors to Oguri and it makes me excited for the next cour, which was announced to air this fall.

You weren’t kidding. Holy shit, the first episode was heavy. Incredible stuff
