wait, you think the trolley problem is from the Good Place?

Reading OP’s comments and posts I’m not finding anything particularly deep or groundbreaking. I assume OP wrote this about people who disagree with them.
Jung noticed this a century ago.
In a creative writing class we were told there are no new stories. How they’re put together and dressed up is a little different, but ultimately it’s all been done.
Just them. We all think it’s super weird.
I’ve heard so many explanations I’m pretty sure Saskatchewan is like the Joker, coming up with a different lie every time someone asks.
Here’s another article that doesn’t require a sign-in.
Long story short: People in Saskatchewan call hoodies “bunny hugs” and no one knows why.

That’s what it seems like to me as well.
The last paragraph reads tongue-in-cheek, reminding people that Trump is going against the G7, against America’s own policies, and did nothing to alleviate tensions.
He knows if Trump even makes it to the last paragraph, he won’t understand it.
Good!
Like having a spring full of record breaking forest fires isn’t a strong enough message.
I agree with the sentiment of making sure our leaders work for Canada but this is such vague language that could be taken to mean anything. It reads hollow, toothless, and a little bit concerning.
What constitutes foreign interference? What would be done if a candidate was under foreign influence? I’d like a more comprehensive description of “national loyalty,” because that’s a term that could be used against qualified candidates.
The capitalism can not spread where the ice flows and the coconuts reign.
Pissed that the rest of Canada won’t build pipelines for them. Give them better access to refineries in other provinces. Clearly, leaving the country is the solution.
This is like moving out on your own because your roommates won’t clean up after you, and make you pay your share of the bills.
We lost a lot of NDP to conservatives. Not sure if it was people “voting strategically” liberal to avoid a conservative win, or just a lot of lost faith in NDP. Probably both of those things and more.
It’s a win, but it’s a bitter one, when a party loses status because their supporters only flipped liberal to try to keep fascists out - and end up losing their representatives to conservatives.
We need either ranked choice or proportional representation because people shouldn’t have to vote against their interests.
But fuck yeah PP lost in his riding. I hope he eats a big bag of dicks.
These are good recommendations.
A brief search didn’t show me any controversy about smartvoting, which isn’t to say it’s not there.
I found it hard to find the information I wanted on 338, but I have friends who used it.
I agree with the sentiment, though, people should be using multiple sources and stay informed to vote strategically.
Remember you can vote even if you didn’t receive a voter registration card.

I was lucky to get in and out but I’m in a small town and went early. Still glad to see people voting. Please fucking vote!
Well done. What materials did you use?
Panzer of the Lake is among our most precious and underused memes.
This article seems a bit occlusive, even though it’s presenting facts in favor of a more detailed understanding of our forests.
For some additional information, logging companies need to replant clearcuts. Within a certain range of other trees, the forest will regenerate naturally if only small, selective cuts are taken. Those are minor wounds, clearcuts need skin grafts. Replanted trees are higher value species, sometimes only two kinds. Historically, no/few regulations on maintaining biodiversity has led to disease and explosions in insect populations who live off those species. You get big chunks of dead forest now more susceptible to fire and a lot of forest isn’t that old. More like tree-farming than a naturally biodiverse, heathy landscape. Because it’s all going to be harvested again in 40-80 years anyway.
Those forests need more maintenance, too, just like crops. They’re sprayed down with chemicals that kill off competing plant species, inspected for disease and destructive insects, and generally just fucked with on the regular so they’ll be worth more when harvested.
That means a replanted forest that’s just waiting to be logged or taken down by spruce/pine beetles and disease is a lot different from old growth.
