For me in American English it’s also the commas that go inside the closing quotation marks, even when they’re not part the original quote. I die a little every time I see this, so illogical.

If it’s not part of the quote, just leave it outside.

As long as you make an upgrade that’s equivalent or better than the current console generation, you’re then basically good-to-go until the next generation of consoles comes.

I bought a wireless magnetic battery recently, and what quickly turned me off was that it charges at ~2/3rd efficiency (so effectively I have only 2/3rds of my powerbank capacity) and speed compared to its wired mode, even though it’s fast wireless and a solid brand and build. Also heats up my phone battery way more, so I just snap it to my phone and use the short and unobtrusive usb-c cable to charge it instead.

Now, if I was changing phones every year or two and I didn’t care about keeping its battery life - sure, I’d use the wireless charging without worries, although it will still be slightly slower than wired (but still fast charging anyway).

Sagrada Familia is quite unique and not at all looking like this. You won’t find so literal tree representations there, everything is much more stylized and in Gaudi’s unique style.

It may have not caused that much panic, but Amplitude consistently put out interesting ideas and enhancements to the Civ-likes in their games, so no wonder Firaxis might use these as templates and negate any unique features their competition might have over them. Plus, the Civ genre has to move in some way, anyway.

Haven’t played Humankind yet, but Amplitude’s previous Civ/4X-like “Endless Legend” was amazing and very fresh take on the genre. And it looked like Firaxis were already trying to copy some of it in Civ 6, so I’m not surprised this trend continues.

The only time Disney tried to play the tropes somewhat straight again was the Princess and the Frog, and THAT was a major flop (though racism probably also played a part in that).

Probably, I watched because of my kid recently, and it striked me as one of the better Disney movies. In fact, it’s a pretty awesome one compared to recent bigger hits like Frozen and etc.

Interesting. I will check it out. ST: TNG is the only Star Trek I’ve enjoyed, and I have watched only a few full episodes, like a century ago, so I was gearing for a rewatch anyway.

It’s a reference to Tool’s “Rosetta Stoned”. Its protagonist tells a wild story how on a drug trip he met some wise aliens who shared some very important message with him. But sadly he forgot his pen, so he couldn’t write it down, and forgot all. Consequently, like your partner, he came back pretty pissed off (or soiled, you might say).

But hey, getting secret alien knowledge on how to play the flute is still a positive, so good for your guy.
