A top NATO military officer says the war in Ukraine could “determine the fate of the world.” NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Rob Bauer says Western armies and political leaders must drastically change the way they help Kyiv fend off invading Russian forces.

Is it bitter and short sighted to say that as much as I dislike modern Russia, I just want the West to lose badly and be humiliated?

America specifically is the number one obstacle to human progress on so many fronts. Its hegemony needs to be destroyed utterly. I don’t like Russia either but there’s no way they become a force for evil on the same scale in a multipolar world.

No, at this point clearly the way to save the most lives is for Kiev to capitulate

I think the best outcome would be some negotiated settlement where the separatist territories get some sort of semi-autonomous status, halfway between being Ukraine and being Russia, but more importantly that it’s China that brokers the negotiations. Release valve gets put on the pressure cooker, but Zelensky essentially abandoning the U.S./West as the path out of this in favor of someone that can talk to Russia instead of talk down to Russia. Absolute humiliation for the DC blob.

To plan for the copium supply to be rapidly shut off while the ruling class pivots to feigning surprise.
