If you like threaded discussion style of slashdot/digg/reddit then check out https://join-lemmy.org (similar experience to joining masto). Federation isn’t as smooth there yet though, mostly ok. Beehaw are kind of isolating themselves from other big instances and lemmy.ml <-> sh.itjust.works is a bit spotty.
