The HKO announced that the new ratings system will be more in tune with Hong Kong society’s inclination to literally ignore all natural disaster warnings until it affects their restaurant booking plans. In the new guidelines, the T1, 3, 8, 9 and 10 tropical storm signals will be first rated “lol”, before being upgraded to “what”, “YMGC”, “DLS”, and “holy fucking shit.” At time of publishing, the HKO is considering upgrading Holy Fucking Shit Saola to an even higher elevated severe disaster rating: “HK eToll.”"
