My first sunflower, grown from seed. Seeing it bloom with its deep yellow petals makes me irrationally happy. I love plants.

    I absolutely love growing mammoth sunflowers. The bumblebees that they attract is so amazing.

      I unfortunately haven’t been able to get the ones I grow to be very tall. They never grow taller than about half a meter even in a big pot. They’re still pretty but I wish they would grow bigger.

    Lil crazy fact, the middle of the sun flower is actually tones of individual tiny flowers. Like 2000 flowers!

      I guess it must be, because each flower is a seed, and there must be hundreds of them on each sunflower!

      Yes, it is a potted sunflower from my balcony. It must be around 1 meter tall. It has a sister which is about half its size because the pot is smaller!
