Quick question, how are emails used?
Are they displayed to other users, or just for notifications?

Just for password resets and notifications if enabled. Definitely not visible to other users.

I never gave an email. You don’t have to on many servers.
Not sure if it was required. I don’t mind them having it if it’s not displayed.
