Chili teas are mine. Just angry hot water that hurts

    As a Brit, this is an unpopular point of view but I’m not really a fan of most black teas. I have tried many and always find the tannin leaves a bad after taste, and if you add milk it coats your tongue in nasty orange fur.

    My only exception to this is weirdly, the occasional mug of strong, milky (rice/oat) Lapsang, but only during cold weather. It’s just so filling and wholesome to sip on. I do need to brush my teeth and scrape my tongue afterwards though as it lingers.

    Edit: and that limited edition Liquorice Allsorts Earl Grey by Twinnings. That stuff was unbelievably fucking delicious somehow.

      Oh yes, I completely agree with you! And it’s in a large percentage of herbal/fruit mixes so they’re out of the question for me. I wonder how it became so popular, isn’t it sour for everyone else too?
