This video shows that Reddit refused to delete all comments and posts of its users when they close their account via a CCPA / GDPR request.
This is absolutely insane, and shows that companies OWN you.
I’ve seen many people here mentioning their edits being restored multiple times, as well as deleted posts being restored. After a while the restoring sounds like it stops…
Imo Reddit likely wants users to not bother deleting their content, because that’s where the value is
Edit: More discussions are mentioning that it’s possible the restored posts are actually from communities that were private at the time the user was deleting their comments. When the community reverts the private setting, apparently these posts to show up in the profile again. Not sure if true or not but does make sense if so
