      The fact that you associate rationing to communism speaks for itself.

      I don’t have problem with just communism itself, but so far the Marxist-Leninist version is the one that was implemented around the world and unfortunately it comes with totalitarianism and heavy corruption, which delivers the opposite of what it promised.

        The reference is literally in the tweet, Newsom calls trump “Chairman Donald” which should be a fairly obvious dogwhistle.

          It’s that communistic term though?

          Stalin wasn’t chairman (he was General Secretary), Kim Jong Un isn’t chairman (well he is a chairman on national defense commission), there is a chairman on the board of directors which this cabinet looks like one.

          Yeah. I know this was most likely dig like he wants to be like Xi, but I don’t think on it’s much about communism as he would love to have power to micromanage everything.

            If I had to guess the origin, it would be Mao Zedong (Tse-Tung), who founded the Chinese Communist Party, and is often referred to as “Chairman Mao”
