I like my voice very much - i have a very distinct prosody and good control over what i want to express with tone alone, i really can’t complain. I’ve worked with costumers on the phone for many, many years, and the amount of influence on the mood of costumers i was able to project in the latter years of this work through my voice alone (because often i had to bear bad news even to costumers who were already agitated at the job at that time - i was working at an automobile club similar to the AAA, and telling someone that we wont bring their car back home after an accident in a foreign country where people were hurt because the transport would be more expensive than the remaining value of the wreck really isn’t a fun thing) was somewhat disturbing for me at times. I had a woman once that called again after speaking to me, and she asked if my colleage would be willing to send me her ICQ number because of my voice (this was NOT what i was aiming for here, i wanted to fix her internet connection lol). He transmitted it to me, but a) i was in a relationship at the time and b) she was simply too normie for someone deep in the goth and metal scene at that time.
