Anyone else think gatekeeping the cyberpunk terminology is as hopeless as it is pointless?

In the linked video the cyberdeck is an Android phone. MacOS 8.5 is perfectly valid.

But you don’t understand, if someone else uses terminology specific to MY favorite cyberpunk story incorrectly according to my interpretation of it, it RUINS EVERYTHING! I HAVE to tell them they’re wrong, or they’ll just CONTINUE BEING HAPPY/CONTENT ABOUT THINGS!
We can at least push toward “high tech low life” instead of generic rainy neon. Less Hong Kong, more Kowloon.
