Their shows are good, but it’s a really limited selection. It’s not a primary service to replace something like Netflix, with a huge (but shrinking) range of shows and movies that they didn’t make.

Good news buddy! You just got a promotion! Now with this new title come a lot of extra responsibilities obviously. But I’m sure you’ll do just fine champ, you can easily triple your workload right? Just be smart about priorities and time management, you’ll figure it out. In terms of pay raise, there is no pay raise. But if you stick with it, I’m sure somebody higher up in the chain will notice all of your hard work. You’ve got a bright future at our company ahead of you.

And if you could come in on Saturday, that would be great!

Will they make more money? Or just lose 20 percent of their subscribers and be lucky to break even?

That’s not a break even. That’s an increase in profit. 20% less users means the revenue is the same and their costs are down.

If I’m not mistaken, wouldn’t 20% fewer subscribers at 20% price increase would result in an overall 4% decrease in revenue.

      • Wait, how would their cost decrease?! Are you thinking it’d be from data transmission or something? The drop in user data has to be worth much more than the minimal cost of data transmission. The biggest cost must be media production plus maintaining and running their servers I’d bet, which won’t change much, if at all here.
