I’ve discovered some really awesome local bookshops that have great deals on their used books selections (where I can find some really obscure books that previously I thought I could only find on Amazon). I like to go browse them on weekends now and always come out with a few books. I’ve also discovered I really enjoy A&W.

In general I’ve noticed that in trying to shop more local and being mindful of spending Canadian I’ve become happier and more satisfied with my purchases while also spending less money in general because if I can’t find a Canadian alternative, I just won’t get it. It’s been a pretty fun and fruitful exercise.

I love how one of the terms the USA wanted to sneak into their “deal” was to prevent us Canadians from making any trade deals with any other counties. The US of A can fuck right off.

Oh and they wanted the French language gone too. I would call them all smegma but that would be insulting to the smegma.

I honestly don’t know if the demand for no French was being ridiculous on purpose (i.e., to ensure Canada does not accept and then they cry about it), or if it comes from a deep inferiority complex of only being able to speak one language. Or maybe both.
