    Yeah, businesses will do pretty much anything to avoid paying employees a fair wage.

    Can’t afford a house, a car, or retirement? Here pet this dog and get back to work. By the way, he makes more than you because he’s friends with the ceo

      Oh especially in healthcare they love to not pay critical roles well.

      Everyone knows nurses aren’t paid nearly well enough for the work they do. But what less people know less about, or care less about, is how little EVS (environmental services) techs get paid. They get paid literally below poverty level wages (ask me how I know), despite it literally being an extremely important role in the healthcare system. Cause I doubt anyone wants to go a dirty hospital when you need care.

        Yup, it’s also one of the biggest bottlenecks in terms of making money for the hospital. If you’re at capacity, patients go somewhere else, or the ambulance is diverted.

        Operating venues in the hospital always love the talk up about how every minute of OR time is thousands of dollars.

        So then every minute that EVS cleans those rooms faster is worth equally as much.

        Same with any hospital bed.
