It turns out that a _very_ long HDMI cable, a Steam Controller 2 and Bazzite on a second drive was all I needed to get a comfortable couch gaming experience.

    It is actually noteworthy imo. Saves a lot of resources and money while achieving much better performance than you will get from the steam machine.

      I thought it was common knowledge that you can plug a desktop computer into a TV, but I guess not?

        Normal cheap HDMI cables dont go beyond ~5m because of signal integrity. A 15m cable is not a very common thing to have laying around.

          Maybe I’m missing what point you’re making, but I just don’t see how “you can buy a long cable” is worthy of a HN post.
