I think you should start a “europe defense industry” community to post all these industry news and not spam this one with it.
Shit take and no
Am I posting too much? I’m just trying to get the community to look a little bit alive. I can stop it if it’s not appreciated. Whenever I come across an interesting article that’s related to Europe I post it here with little to no discrimination of the subject.

I appreciate it. And when I look at the upvote/downvote ratio, it seems like I’m not alone.
Thank you for providing an insight into a topic that might be fringe for some but is actually rather important for Europe currently and hence has its place in this community imho.
If you were post nothing else but defence news on a daily basis, that might be something else, but that’s not the case so far.
In ~2016 I started r/EuropeanArmy. I was very active in r/EuropeanFederalists at that time and I still think that (sadly) a European Federation would need a (somewhat) united military force. „European Army“ was a buzzword put forward by Macron as a reaction to Brexit. I just ran with it. I dropped Reddit some years ago. The subs are still there and have some active users.
PESCO, CARD, Framework Nation Concept, FCAS … there have been plenty of topics. Looking at this years Eurosatory: the European Industrial Military Complex has just started. Imho it is very important to take a close look — especially as someone from the left side of the political spectrum.
Sure, but posting lobby outlet press releases of arms dealers is not a close look (especially when there is no commentary at all), and in any case it should be done in a seperate community.
Yeah, I‘m on the same page. I just realised that perhaps a community like „EuropeanArmy“ is needed on Lemmy as well. In the current political environment maybe more important than ever.
Your last posts were all defense industry insider news that are of little interest for the general public.

Seems to me the reality is that he has posted 3 stories about European military among 20 stories for the past 19 hours.
So how does that become all his last stories???Also European made military equipment is kind of a big issue, now that we are working on becoming independent from USA.
So this kind of stories seem to me to be extremely relevant.News about what specific chassis a new tank design presented by some European arms dealer has are not of general interest 🤷
And what story would that be? Definitely not this one, that is about Denmark Choosing European equipment to our defense.
And although not stated directly, the description shows it has several advantages over American systems that makes it more suitable against drones. The word “chassis” is not even in the article that I can see, so it seems like you are making a straw man argument.
One of the many other defense industry news articles recently posted here.
Look, if you don’t like our moderation here feel free to use one of the many other Europe communities. We curate the links posted here based on general interest, and defense industry insider news are not that.
So no response to whether news about European military equipment is relevant considering Europe is trying to gain independence.
And no explanation on where “all the posts” came from, when it’s 3 out of 20.
All in all I don’t see you making much of an argument, but is butthurt for anyone disagreeing with you???
Unfortunately Lemmy is a very tiny place, and you are probably very well aware that this is the sub that got the momentum.
Question is then, why are you trying to ruin it in this thread?
Maybe another post was irrelevant, but why didn’t you complain there instead then?
I’m not out to annoy anyone. Just tell me what rules apply.
So far this was just a friendly moderator notice to think about what articles to post here. If you want to post defense industry insider news, create a community for it.

Being a moderator is a thankless job without pay so I tend to try to comply with requests as best I can. I wasn’t asked to stop, just to be a bit more selective, which isn’t unreasonable IMHO.
I appreciate the friendly notice. Like I said, I’m not out to annoy anyone, I just want to make sure that there’s a value to check the Europe community regularly because there are articles there to read. Last year we had around 10k monthly active users, right now we’re down to 5k, I think it might be because of a lack of fresh content, but that might be a wrong assumption. I’ll try to limit the defense industry insider news to fewer than three articles per day. 😜
The reduction of MAU here is IMO mostly due to a large instance defederating from feddit.org and related drama posts that specifically highlighted this community as a reason for defederation.
This community? The most vanilla community I’ve ever seen. What here could have caused defederation?
On a vw amarok i think
One of the rare cases where a pickup actually makes sense.
