I can half understand Germany still being queasy after 80 years - even though the facts about Israel are clear enough - but you do not need to rebuke others for speaking truth. It doesn’t even help you politically. It just shows your true colors.

I don’t know if he has the competence to speak up to Kallas. His lies (debts, immigration, coalitions) - we also won’t speak about his time at Black Rock - show him in a very bad light. In contrast, Kallas seems to keep her words and shows some sense in what she is saying, which makes me even proud to have such a person high up in the EU.
Kaja Kallas seems to be one of the few officials left in the EU who are not afraid to use the uncomfortable words.

Such comparisons are always difficult. Why do you want to compare the Israel / Palestine conflict to apartheid or any other historical event? It’s useless. Just criticize the actions of Israel as they are: innocent Palestinians are being killed, Gaza shouldn’t be occupied etc etc. let’s focus on the facts and condemn Israel for its deeds (and hamas independently of that). And Merz should pipe down.
because it’s pointing out the hypocrisies of Israel. Because it’s drawing the pararells and showcasing the crimes in a way that a lot more people know.
i.e. it’s both a shorthand and a retorical tool.
