This won’t work for the same old reason: companies will absorb the savings to increase their revenue. Retail prices will stay the same, and go up anytime they feel they can get away with it.
Close all tax loopholes, and reward companies with tax breaks by providing well paying employment. More and better paid employees = more tax breaks.
That’s how you fix the economy.
