Firstly why would Russia, a state with an almost monopoly on the production of nuclear fuel rods try to stir European nations away from nuclear energy? Even now France wants to extends its ties with Russia in regard to nuclear fuel production.
We wouldn’t have needed nuclear power plants then if we simply continued building renewables and we certainly don’t need them now that we are finally adding renewables in large quantities.
Germany had a thriving solar industry in the 2010s. Then our government killed it because people were adding renewables “too fast”.
