ah, well it was charged up with a full battery and working and then it was just dead. won’t come on again and the charging LED does not light up anymore despite different cords and adapters being tried. pretty sure it’s a dead motherboard.
Try putting it forcibly into battery storage mode:
With the Deck turned off and plugged into the charger, hold down Volume Up+⋯ (“Three Dots” button under the right touchpad) for 10 seconds, and then unplug the Deck to enter Battery Storage Mode. On LCD models the LED will then flash 3 times, on OLED models the LED will blink blue twice.
After that, plug it back in, and it will hopefully turn on. Some people have had luck reviving a non-responsive deck this way when nothing else has worked.
I think that’s a relatively common issue that can be fixed by resetting the battery. I think it starts by loading it for a day even when the indicator isn’t lighting up.

no, that doesn’t do anything. the LED hasn’t lit up for anything since it died.
