The important bit:

Felicia stated in an interview with TT that she believed that Israel should not be allowed to compete in Eurovision 2026. According to the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest, artists are not allowed to take a political stance.

According to the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest, artists are not allowed to take a political stance.

Same bullshit with the Olympics. These rules are dumb and should be violated into abolishment.
Such events are political in nature, (non-)participation is a political stance and the organisers have no right to violate the participants freedom to express their opinions.

I never really watch Eurovision as it happens, I tend to watch random songs later.

I like that Australia is part of Eurovision, but never understood why Israel should be part of it.

Membership is for broadcasting organizations whose countries are within the European Broadcasting Area, as defined by the International Telecommunication Union, or are members of the Council of Europe.

        https://www.ebu.ch/about/members

The double standards though, are stated further down the same page:

The EBU’s Belarusian Member was suspended from the Union in May 2021. The EBU’s Russian Members were suspended from the Union in May 2022.

She could simply boycott like many artists did, but she doesn’t want to pay that price, she prefers instead to try to profit from the situation. Quite lame actually.
