Pinephone is a good option, but it won’t work in all countries. Ultimately, someone needs to gut android for anything salvageable, shove it into Linux, and provide a compatibility layer for android apps. But, mass support won’t be there. Like, TikTok won’t build an app for Linux. It needs mainstream apps to work.

You need something viable for there to be demand.
There are options, but locking a person into an ecosystem is more profitable. Pinephone is a good option, but it won’t work in all countries.
Ultimately, someone needs to gut android for anything salvageable, shove it into Linux, and provide a compatibility layer for android apps.
But, mass support won’t be there. Like, TikTok won’t build an app for Linux. It needs mainstream apps to work.
