Disgraced royal Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was arrested this morning on suspicion of misconduct in public office, according to the BBC.
The broadcaster said it had seen photos of cars arriving at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, where Andrew has been living in a temporary property since leaving Royal Lodge, his permanent home in Windsor, in early February.
While it did not name Andrew, Thames Valley Police force said in a statement that it had arrested a man in his 60s; the former prince turned 66 today.
“Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,” the statement said.
The latest Epstein files, released by the US Department of Justice earlier this month, appear to show that Andrew shared sensitive government documents and commercial information with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein when working as a trade envoy in 2010 and 2011.
In October, the former prince gave up his royal titles after sexual assault allegations published in Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir led to renewed scrutiny of his friendship with the convicted sex offender.

had to double check that this wasn’t fake news. never thought he would even be arrested.
oh… its because of leaking commercial and government secrets. not for sex crimes against minors. now i get it.
Kind of an extreme take on “it’s not the crime, it’s the cover up”
At least he can’t pull a Dersh on this one, claiming he was just in his underwear and nothing else happened. The emails are their own undeniable record.
It’s probably a lot easier to nail him on the financial malfeasance than it is the nonce stuff.
Yeah it creates a much easier to track paper trail. This is also part of the reason the rich do sometimes get busted on tax stuff, harder to expensive lawyer you’re way out of the charges when there’s physical accounting of your crimes.
yeah. but they got al capone on tax evasion, before they nailed him for the rest of it. So there’s still hope.
The Andrew Formerly Known As Prince
Thou shalt not blaspheme the good name of Prince!by linking him to Andrew 😤
Ehhhhhhhhh I don’t know that PRince has exactly a ‘good’ name
Wait, was Prince problematic or is it just that all monarchial titles are bad?

On his birthday

The last time English royalty was arrested, they were executed. Crossing my fingers rn
it’s a pity that they couldn’t get all of them and strange that other royals/dictators still hide in paris despite all the guillotining that famously took place there.

OFF WIT 'IS 'ED
not /c/fakenews

Wow I’m surprised they’re doing more than us. Or, is Andrew going to be the fall guy for Epstein?
Will the MFer make even the slightest attempt at redemption by coming cleans a d ratting out the others?
No because they would kill him.
Well there’s also mandleson
As I understand it, there is no upper sentencing limit for misconduct in public office. He could potentially get life lol.
:pog

Woop woop
imagine being so royalty brained, only chud brainworms in your suzerain force you to investigate local pedos (or mi6, security detail, accountants are all that incompetent, pick your poison)
