I understand your position, I think, and in general I share it. I don’t think this emoji matters either for the culture at large or hexbear in specific - whatever the vibe on Epstein is, is set by the bigger world and we online here just pretend we’re not dictated by it. The way I see it emoji are just funny little pictures, the meaning of which aren’t decided by the pictures themselves, but by the users. We’ve gone from emoji like and being used " unironically ironically" to just ironically. Likewise with emoji like and the more the knowledge of who Jeffrey Epstein was and what he did has spread.
It does sadden me that he has basically turned into an aspect of “orange man bad” and beyond that he has become a joke akin to Puff Daddy - who also did heinous shit, but is basically reduced to “diddy party and lol he has a prison boyfriend”. It’s fucked. My conspiracy/gramsci mind believes that it is the result of a direct effort from the monsters running the world to downplay all this stuff. Just look at how people are celebrating Bill Clinton saying he’s willing to testify about Epstein - BRO YOU’RE IN THE FUCKING FILES YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DRAWN AND QUARTERED.
But all that happens around us. It’s important to be aware of that happening, but I don’t think what I do pushes that “agenda” forwards. How that emoji is used and what it would mean is up to the userbase at large, like with the many I used in another response.
