I was more of a lurker on reddit, but we need more content here, so I guess I need to start participating a bit… so, a fairly standard question to get some conversation going!
If there was only one brand that you could use forevermore, is would be…
Pens: Pilot
I started with a Kakuno, and now have a Metro (actually my least favourite pen), Prera, E95, VP and a metal Falcon…
Ink: Pilot Iro
I am in love with Tsuki-yo (midnight blue), but I also regularly use Yu-yake (orange), Shin-ryoku (green), Take-sumi (charcoal), Asa-gao (royal blue) and Yama-budo (purple? pink? crimson? I don’t really know, but I really didn’t exect to like it as much as I do…).
I have a couple of non-Pilot inks, but I keep going back to Pilot because they just work with every pen I put them in…
Guess I quite like Pilot! How about you??
Earlier I would have chosen Pelikan. But given my recent usage, I’d now say Sailor. If I could only choose one brand of ink, I’d probably choose Diamine (with Robert Oster a close second). As for paper, Hobonichi with old Tomoe River paper.
Definitely Conklin, I love their styles/designs.
Platinum 3776.
Kanwrite. Easily the best fountain pen I have. And I have over 2 dozen pens including multiple jinhao and Preppy.
