And I still have another whole day of Visiting Family For Christmas to get through - while doing my best to not end up talking politics, because whenever I talk politics with relatives, someone calls me a Stalinist, and one of the Hungarian nationalist nutjobs on Dad’s side of the family loses it on me about '56 as soon as I agree I’m a Stalinist just to shut the McCarthyist up. (At least tomorrow I’m seeing Mum’s side, Dad’s was yesterday and part of today, politics came up but I didn’t get called a pinko or anything worse and no one started up at me about '56, thank the heavens.) Yeah, that sounds even more infuriating than mine. At least with my family, they’re mostly typical Western shitlibs, I understand where it comes from, all their information on communism came from Red Scare propaganda and the term “national socialist” causes genuine confusion.
