(At least tomorrow I’m seeing Mum’s side, Dad’s was yesterday and part of today, politics came up but I didn’t get called a pinko or anything worse and no one started up at me about '56, thank the heavens.) Ugh, someone please shoot me.

    Yeah, that sounds even more infuriating than mine. At least with my family, they’re mostly typical Western shitlibs, I understand where it comes from, all their information on communism came from Red Scare propaganda and the term “national socialist” causes genuine confusion.
