Folks ready for another season? Any wild predictions, hopes or takes?
I uhhh, decided for once to go big on optimism/nostalgia for 23/24 in my fantasy pool. Mostly because after I took JT relatively early, Petey was available fairly late and having the two of them together amused me. Then I doubled down by taking Boeser. And I have since tripled down by adding Silovs off waivers.
Wild prediction… We get a practice facility. And that leaves Flames the last team without one.
Missed the game but the score tonight seems like a good start. At least it’s quite spread across different lines.
I was sort of watching, albeit in a bar with friends so…
But I agree, looked like a good start! I wasn’t a huge fan of Lekerimaki on the 3rd line but if that line can also be a scoring line then maybe we can overcome our top end talent deficit with a well rounded offense and a solid D/goalie.combo.
Also, unsure if you’re a highlights person but Chytil’s first goal is one of the silliest ones I’ve seen in years.
Oh yeah. That Maki laser, he basically ripped it while he is skating and receiving the pass from Kane.
Chytil first one was weird. Playing ping pong with the flames. But it looked really painful for the flames player.
Yeah, didn’t look great for the flame. I thought he came back in the game but turns out I had him confused with someone else.
