I haven’t seen any preseason games but generally you don’t get much of an idea how the roster players are shaping up until the second week of preseason. First week is for prospects and those fighting for a spot.
Definitely right about the second week but for what it’s worth, the prospects have thus far have looked pretty exciting. With Hoglander’s injurythere’s a pretty good chance Lekkerimaki and his absolute beauty of a shot starts in our top 6.
Yeah, Cootes has been great. Super curious what they do with him. Even if he goes to the AHL instead of OHL, that seems pretty cool. (Obviously, coolest is straight to the NHL but I’m also a little worried. He’d be down on the 4th line or so, means he’s more likely playinf against big bruisers as a not huge 18 year old…)

Been listening to podcasts and they are calling Cootes to stay. That is exciting. Mid first round and NHL ready already. Not bad
