    Now several Western countries recognise a Palestinian state, because “such recognition is now relatively cost-free”. According to Starmer, it’s not a sovereign state, much less than that:
    • Elections in Palestine will need Israel’s permission
    • School curriculum approved by Israel
    • The PA will not compensate people Israel calls relatives of Hamas, no compensations to anybody

        @NotImpressed Same for all countries calling for a 2 state solution. They should go back to the '48 partition, and remove anyone who is Not Palestinian, from the Palestine of '48. Those who have destroyed buildings, farms, and industries, in That Palestine have to make restitution (or their relatives, if those earlier Israelis are deceased).
        UK, and USA, and any other nation involved in the creating of Israel…and the subsequent habit of allowing Israel to annex territory from Israel, to this present day…also must make reparation. The Arab world - which has sat back and allowed the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians - must protect those who are left, and ensure right of return for those previously displaced. @palestine

          It’s high time we admit the simple truth: two states were never intended. The intent was always to dispossess the existing inhabitants.

          In creating Israel, the world committed a crime against humanity. If there’s a path to lasting peace, then that path begins with dismantling the Zionist ethno-colony.

          Israel was imposed on Palestine. Peace must be imposed on Israel.

          Imprison the culpable (maybe put them to work remedying some of the harm that they’ve done). Let those who are willing to live together AS EQUALS work the rest out between themselves.
