    • Brush: AP Shave Co. Blue & Clear - Gelousy (A3) 28mm Badger
    • Razor: GEM G-Bar
    • Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (13)
    • Lather: Fanzine Saponifications - Bubblegum Rose - Soap
    • Post Shave: Talent Soap Factory - Wallflower - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented - Balm
    • Fragrance: Stirling - Destination Unknown - EdT

My first time trying the G-Bar that u/jwoods23 threw in for free when I purchased a brush from him.

It’s a nice, mild shaver. Similar to the Flying Wing, but it seemed a bit more efficient.

Wonderful test shave of this coticule edge created with both the BBW and Yellow sides of the stone. And, of course, a great Tabac Tuesday!

    • Brush: Summer Break Soaps - Ord w/ TnS Quartermoon Synthetic
    • Razor: Yates Precision Manufacturing - Merica
    • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    • Lather: Chicago Grooming Company - No. 11 - Soap
    • Post Shave: Catie’s Bubbles - Top of the World - Aftershave

Kinda doing Sample September, kinda not. Today’s shave is thanks to u/jwoods23 for the CGC smush. I liked the scent quite a bit, and may consider it in the future once I slash my den down a few tubs.

Yeah I can understand that. My biggest thing is I suck at bowl lathering small smushes so the lather is never quite where I want it. It’s nice to whittle it down, even just a handful.

    • Brush: Wolf Whiskers - “Gianmaria” w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
    • Razor: Fatip Classic Testina Gentile - Chrome
    • Blade: V12 Super Platinum (4)
    • Lather: Zingari Man - Nocturne - Soap
    • Post Shave: Chatillon Lux - Delor de Treget - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Dove - Men+Care Ultra-Hydra - Cream
    • Fragrance: Auntie Anne’s Preztels 🥨 - Knead - EdP

I do like this razor quite a bit. It’s ultra mild, but with sneaky efficiency. I thought Mood Indigo might be my next tub kill, but this tub is just as low if not lower, and with the weather cooling off I’m drawn to this scent. We’ll see what happens, but having two tubs on the block is pretty thrilling.

Sample part 2 of 3. It’s the vegan formula. I love the scent though.

I’m just about to pitch this silicone dog/lather bowl in the trash. I think it would be okay if I was tub loading. I’m not going to be tub loading on travel. Now the Captain’s Choice Traveler is on my mind …

    Have a great day!

Been there, done that. The nubs didn’t work for me. Its fans seem to be more vocal than the people who have thrown it into the garbage.

I bring a tub with me when I travel, and if I want to use a sample I use the lid to smush it/load it.

I had the same experience with those silicone dog bowls. Works great if I’ve already loaded a full brush, but very much sucks to use for samples/smushes.
