Skyrim is such a good discourse engine, it’s so fucking shallow that the only fleshed out character in the entire game has all these boosters (predictably)
but also people taking the implemented design way too seriously—Serana is unmarriable because they didn’t have time to do that, they had Laura Bailey record most of the relevant dialogue. And even if you want to read her as asexual, asexual people can get married and sex is not a mechanic in (unmodded) skyrim.
