Someone posted today about Alan Dershowitz and how he’s gonna sue a shop for not sellng him a pierogi. I’m reminded that his accuser was forced to recant and just commit suicide a few months ago.

In my own life, I’m hitting walls as well. No matter how nice and polite we are, no matter how absolutely terrible the other side is, no matter how well delivered our arguments are, no matter how garbage the arguments from the other side are, our feelings will be shot down with barely a moment’s consideration.

I feel so shut out of the judgement making centres of everything. Capital has such a hold on everything, from school, to the media, to our internet companies, to even the feelings and opinions of those whom we interact with daily. Most people know me, the masking vegan communist, as basically (in their minds) as a nazi. I’m empowered by their hatred. But the ideals of fairness and justice that I’m fighting have a long way to go. I get the TikTok personalities that just fuck you I’m gonna preach my message who most people hate because it triggers their cognitive dissonance.

I hate pointless competition with people with bad opinions. I hate that I’m a nice person. I hate that I’m too kind and that arguments stress me out for weeks. I hate that our planet is literally dying and maybe just maybe the old order is objectively wrong, yet we gotta be nice and smile and wait in line and maybe maybe maybe they’ll put in another bus in the city.

Sorry for the rant, but I feel terrible.

    gotta say, finding local CC people is very hard. I literally just know one other person outside my household. Not surprisingly, they’re semi disabled, so they get it. I’ve talked to a few other local CC people and they all seem like massive libs. I’m not saying that CC people are mostly libs, but within those who have time to post a lot about it there seem to be a preponderance of libs. I’m convinced that they have the material resources to be quixotic and outspoken on just one subject. Sorry for that tangent. But yes, finding CC friends is hard, I still feel very alone. Especially with the masking drama here, I wish I had more people to vent to. It must be very hard for you, comrade.

    Oh no, I get it.i’ve noticed that over in r/zerocovid there’s a considerable amount of people that are just looking for their opportunity to go back to normal. And then, being in Florida, there’s way more conversations in online groups from white people about trying to do Disney safely than I’m comfortable with. Marginalized CC folks more often than not seem to be the ones seeing the writing on wall.

    Yeah, Florida’s… not great. It’s basically been a libertarian thinktank Petri dish for decades and it’s just rotting away the minds of people living here.

    I need to have this perspective more.

    Just a thought, but have you tried stickering your school? Qrcodes in the bathroom stalls to leftist tiktokers, Hasan, yellow Parenti, and things like that. Make it seem like there’s a contingent of leftist kids? I can’t remember what age group you work with, if that would fly but it might be an interesting experiment. I’m a very big proponent of commie mkultra-ing. hahaha
