These people are filled with a righteous anger and indignation at horrors being committed against civilians; a righteous anger and indignation this world is losing the capacity to produce. It’s people like this that inspire novels such as Dune and other similar works. They’re not looking to waste their efforts on toothless protests, or political begging; these are people who want to end evil by force. I didn’t link to the original tweet but the tweet that quoted it because the person quoting it is 100% correct; these people feel like they are the last real people.

Would love to see someone who understands arabic break down the end of that video. They seem to say “death to america, death to israel” but it is translated as “death to america, death to jews”. I dont speak arabic and cant say if its accurate or not, but im curious if this is an inflamatory translation equating israel with all world jewry or if its accurate that they are saying “death to jews”.

Watching again they said “death to America, death to Israel” and the third part I recognize the word they use; it’s either “damnation” or “a curse upon” the Jews. I would say that while it’s definitely harsh, I don’t believe they blindly hate all Jewish people; I do genuinely believe they reserve their hate for the supporters of Israel. They’ve stopped ships on their way to Israel but never brought harm to the people on those ships. I personally don’t believe they wish or would even do harm to random folks. They’re definitely using fiery language but I do genuinely believe that’s all it is.

Thank you! I mean, even if they meant death to jews it would be a logical reaction to zionist occupation and the conflation of judaism and zionism by it, i just got very interested in how it translated not just mechanically but culturally/socially, and your comment was very helpful for that ^^

I’ve seen pictures of an Arab man holding a rifle, which was reported to be an Egyptian man demanding to be allowed into gaza and calling for shame on all Arabs who aren’t doing so.

What is the likelihood of popular uprisings in solidarity with Gaza? Especially in Egypt where they could hypothetically storm the Rafah crossing if they had enough people.

There was the sumud caravan a while ago, but it seems they cracked down on all of those activists?
