Based on Kamala’s campaign I’m expecting them to pivot to the right. Let’s see if they have actually learned anything yet.

This is why I hate how we discuss politics as far as labeling left, right, and center…

If our “center” is somewhere in the “bibles in school and concentration camps for immigrants” area then they aren’t “centrist moderates” they’re fucking right wing conservatives. Our country is comprised of a moderate conservative party an ultra conservative party… The “center” is conservative…

We say left right and center as relative positions to each other with little regard to their actual policies.

While that’s true, in my case “right” is conservative in pretty much all contexts, so I just mentally transcribe that.

I do agree with your point, but not my meme and all that. :D

I think most people know what you mean well enough.

Also, your points about the “center” are exactly what the meme is trying to demonstrate, FWIW.

Ain’t gonna happen - in the end their corporate masters have too strong a hold on virtually all of their testes/ovaries. IMHO, true change will have to come from external grassroots origins & I keep hoping the progressives in Congress will find a way to make that happen. I’m afraid the duopoly is too ingrained in the mindsets of average Americans for that to work without a near complete collapse of the country, however - which is probably why the progressives still haven’t stepped out on their own thus far.

Well the “good” news is that we’re not too far from this.

Cool, so we’re finally going to call a genocide a genocide and stop sending aid to Israel? We’re going to finally take on the health insurance industry and pass Medicare for all?

What, no? We’re not doing that, you say? We’ve gotta continue pandering to our rich donors? Okay cool, then STFU about “changing the status quo”, rat man.

Nothing in the US will ever return to “status quo”. Their democracy is broken, 30% of them believe that Trump was chosen by god. They will either continue on their path to becoming a white Christian nationalist authoritarian state, or the people will rise and create an actual democracy based on humanity instead of wealth.

My bet is on the former.
