When I say harder to read I mean like too contemplative or like it just drags on. Like I love shield hero but the fights have been so grating on me, they’re so long and so wordy I’ve just been skimming fights.
Or in 86 the philosophical points are nice the first time but not the next 100 times, oh but I love the combat scenes, so I skim the other stuff except the cute shin/Lena moments.
Danmachi and grimgar I find far more enjoyable as a whole read. Honestly I’m leaning towards better writing but maybe it’s just not for me

Just drop them. If it’s a drag to read, it fails as entertainment (or just not your type), and there is never a shortage of new material.
True, for some of them I just need to know the ending. I’m thinking for some I just keep up with the anime cause I’ve already got too many books I wanna read
