They both claim things, but one side (Froot) has put forward receipts after a long time of being harassed over it and the other one hasn’t. This doesn’t smell like a ‘both sides’ case to me.
Regarding the charity thing, indeed, but:
it was found out that the charity (Mermaids UK) might be doing unethical things
it was going to be her own money, not charity donations from her viewers
I do think it would’ve been better if she then picked a different charity, but she was already getting harassed for even donating to a transfocused charity to begin with.
Are the “receipts” the screenshots? Because it’s still nothing that couldn’t have been fabricated. And even if they were legitimate, I just find it so weird to me that she could sue him for all those sexual crimes PLUS online harassment and defamation and she… just hasn’t. If the harassment has gotten to this point don’t think there’s any other reason not to do that except A) your claims aren’t true or B) your claims are true but you know his ones are too.
And the most damning thing about the charity is that, to my knowledge, she never addressed it ever since. If the charity wasn’t trustworthy, just say it. If it turned out to be way too much money, just say it. Not saying anything just means you wanted to look good without actually following through.
