Academy’s Undercover Professor WN ch1-ch52 - decent premise terrible execution. MC gets mistaken as professor and he just rolls with it and becomes de facto spy. Hilarity didn’t ensue. Author is allergic to world building and if somehow some world building will happen they will be so pround of it that they will repeat it until the end of time. Oftentimes the thing that is described is irrelevant to the plot. There was 30ch gap between information that MC’s student had an unique ability and description what it actually does.

Every time MC enter the room he is the most handsome or strongest or smartest guy in a room (usually all three at the same time), speaks one sentence and everyone claps with their jaws on the floor.

    2/10 enjoyable trainwreck, won’t recommend.

Sounds like one of those self-insert titles where MC always has to be the greatest at everything.

I haven’t finished any LNs but I read a few chapters from <The Apothecary Diaries>. Has anyone read it? I have tried several times but I just can’t get into it. The writing just seems too simplistic and lacks detail.

I finished the 2nd season of the anime this week and it hooked me again. It’s one of the ones I would like to read, but it just can’t get into.

I just checked, and I have volume 2 sitting at 60% read. I don’t think I necessarily dropped it, but I just couldn’t be bothered to pick it up again and finish it. I think the anime is great, so maybe I’ll try to get into it again at some point, but I guess I will have the same problem as you.

<Witch and Mercenary> Vol. 3 - The Witch lets loose and flexes her magic a bit, which was a very entertaining chapter. Like I said in the last volume, she is a character that is a lot more interesting, and seeing more of her in this volume was very welcome.

<The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects> Volume 9 - In this volume, we get a huge population growth in Iluk Village. How much longer until they have to call it Iluk Town? As always, very comfy. Even a dragon invasion gets handled like “Oh yeah, and that happened as well, but let’s get back to having fun and celebrations!”

<Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!> Volume 10 - The first half of the volume was very fight-heavy in the fantasy world, and I was bored for all of it. The second half was luckily back to hanging out in Japan with Ms. Elf and the gang. Fight scenes aren’t really the author’s forte, and wasting so much space on them isn’t playing to his strengths.
