I just gave the whole playlist a listen. To me, Petrichor by Brambles comes the closest to remind me of “rainy smells”. Most of the songs that are guitar-heavy or have lyrics completely ruin the sensation (not saying the songs are bad bc of that reason).
some context: I can pretty much always smell rain when I hear rain, so music that contains actual rain will come the closest to triggering the same sensation. However, sounds that mimic the bliss and murkiness of a rainy afternoon also has the same effect - e.g. bells, piano, roomy reverb, “pitter patter” percussion etc.
Oh, cool - thank you so much for your thoughts and experiences! I just gave that one a listen: I didn’t smell anything, not I got some interesting mental visuals and sensations: being in a tent in the rain, someone spinning/dancing very briefly, rain falling into puddles, a drop falling into a puddle and the slow-motion of spin-off drops arcing away. It was definitely less immersive once the vocals kicked it, but it was cool nonetheless. Thank you so much for getting back to us!
Just curious: If you listen to the playlist, which one (or which combination) comes closest?
I… shall let you know
Any updates? Inquiring minds want to know

Thanks! I’ll check it out
haven’t gotten around to it yet 😔 I’ll let you know when I do
edit: looks like the playlist isn’t public, I’ll ask OP to share it
