I’m not sure how I feel about this, because it kind of gave me the impression of being tone deaf or out of touch. I’ve been a fan of king of the hill for a long time but this feels like maybe it’s directed at a different audience. It gave me boomer vibes, in a real bad way.

I’d be interested to hear what other fans think; what’s your impression?

I mean… It was always kinda out of touch. That I think was the point. It’s a group of self assured Texans who mean well but, don’t always act well.

I always found the Hills to be insufferable but it didn’t make it less fun to watch. So if they bring accurate boomerism to the screen but manage to make it feel real and empathetic then it seems like the original just aged like the actual boomers.

Hank Hill was always stuck in past times, that was the setup for a lot of the comedy.

I love the trailer and how he seems cool (if confused) about the idea of “all gender” but being vegan was met with derision. That seems pretty on brand for Hank.

Peggy definitely seems to act the same, “I don’t mean to be conceited, but my whole life I’ve been told im a 5.”

Please don’t suck. Hank Hill is like 30% of my personality. Although I’m honestly probably closer to Bobby.
