There’s actually a stream clip of Pirate Software being asked about his feelings on the initiative in a donation a week or so before he first “officially” commented on it. In the clip, just from hearing the name of the initiative, he
guessed pretty much exactly what it was about
noted that this would affect projects he is a part of in ways he doesn’t like and
says he wants to say more about it later after researching it
So for him to then later make a hitpiece video and somehow no longer understanding what it is about and not saying that he believes it would be against his financial interests is absolutely not just being an idiot and later doubling down. He totally knew what he was trying to do. Problem is I was only linked the clip in the context of a longer video by an awful gamergate chud, don’t exactly feel comfortable sharing that garbage lol
