Will the old posts survive the migration?
They will still exist on the old community. But they will not appear on the new one.
Isn’t the old community going to disappear when lemm.ee dies?
It will still be visible by all the instances federated with lemm.ee.
Since how lemmy works is once something is federated with an instance a copy of it is stored on that instance.

I don’t think my app currently works with piefed, but I hope that’s going to change soon and I’ll be able to meet you there.
Ah, I didn’t realize some apps had that issue. Well, we’ll see how it all shakes out. I’m going into this with eyes open.
I’ll see if there’s a way to export the current content and might start feeding those posts back in over time.
