• as an American who has worked inside the US food system for closing on 2 decades, I would never recommend importing any food or ingredients from this completely fucked joint. the default should always been to suspect it as contaminated and substandard, so unless you are developing some highly specific relational sales and distribution channel with an individual person you can trust for a specific thing, find it or an alternative somewhere the fuck else.

a handful of countries buy a lot of commodities from the US because our environmental and agricultural production/processing labor regulations range from lax to non existent. throw in some of the subsidy structures, and it makes some of these commodities cheap and abundant compared to their regional analogs.

but a supply chain that will fuck over the very environment, communities and specific people it directly depends on will absolutely fuck over its buyers/customers downstream.

    buyer beware.

Europe doesn’t want American slop because the US’ rate of food poisoning is obscenely higher than it is in Europe. 14.6% of USians get food poisoning per year while in the UK it’s 1.4% and in the rest of Europe it’s comparable.

Keep that shit as far away from me as possible please and thank you.
