    @RoundSparrow@lemm.ee

    Do these posts really need to have “<<< Russia won the Hybrid War against NATO that was launched by the IRA in March 2013” and so on appended to every title? It does seem factual and important, I guess, but throwing SEO-style random stuff to the end of every post title makes it look kind of crank-ish at first glance.

      makes it look kind of crank-ish at first glance.

      “In American English, a “crank” is a person who is eccentric, stubborn, or irritable, especially when they hold strange or unreasonable beliefs. It’s often used in a negative or pejorative way, suggesting that someone is odd or difficult to get along with.”

      I am a crank. The Gold Standard of normal social media users in United States of America year 2024 and year 2025 is Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, White House, etc.

      I’m not here to conform to the bullshit of Fox News language and Twitter language of a North American society.

      “The poet, the artist, the sleuth - whoever sharpens our perception tends to be antisocial; rarely “well-adjusted”, he cannot go along with currents and trends. A strange bond often exists between antisocial types in their power to see environments as they really are. This need to interface, to confront environments with a certain antisocial power is manifest in the famous story “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.” ― University of Toronto Professor Marshall McLuhan, The Medium is the Massage, March 1967

      ::: _________
      "maybe the great need of our nation and our world today is for a society of the creative maladjusted, men and women who will be as maladjusted as the prophet Amos, who in the midst of the injustices of his day, could cry out in words that echo across the centuries, “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.” As maladjusted as Abraham Lincoln, who had the vision to see that this nation could not exist half slave and half free. As maladjusted as Thomas Jefferson, who in the midst of an age amazingly adjusted to slavery could cry out in words lifted to cosmic proportions, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. As maladjusted as Jesus of Nazareth, who in the midst of the fascinating and intricate military machinery of the Roman Empire could cry out, “He who lives by the sword will perish by the sword,” and also, “Love your enemies; bless them that curse you, pray for them that do spitefully use you.” And I believe that such maladjustment will help us emerge from the bleak and desolate midnight of man’s inhumanity to man into the bright and glittering daybreak of freedom and justice.”
      “It’s the creatively maladjusted—those who refuse to conform to unjust systems—who will lead us forward. This is why arts education matters.”

        My guy! No one on Lemmy is with Elon Musk and Joe Rogan and so on. With very few exceptions, every single person is the visionary iconclast that can see they’re full of nonsense.

        There are some people here who are pro-Russia but the vast majority view is that Russia is meddling in our system and it’s a huge problem. You are not bursting through any oppressive boundaries by posting that message. Sorry! But the good news is you have allies. I’m just saying you can relax a little bit about getting extra about posting the message because people (the majority of them; again there are vocal exceptions) are open to it.

          Belittle my efforts, gotcha. I’m already on my death bed. If you want to create your own content and title it the way you want, knock yourself out. I’m tried to explain to you that I’m a “crank” and other way society will dismiss me. Doesn’t mean I’m not doing the best I can in the way I know how. I’m age 55, I’ve lived in Africa, I’ve lived in South America, I’ve lived in an RV in USA full time in 25 cities, I lived in Indonesia, Malaysia. It isn’t as if I am new at hearing feedback that boils down to your communication should fit the current year style and fashion and have never studied why anyone thinks that is a good idea. I gave you a quote from Marshall McLuhan himself, and yet your feedback is that I don’t grasp or comprehend the audience problem of Lemmy April 2025.

          “When conformity enforcers overwhelm diversity generators, all of us are in trouble. Spartans–fundamentalists, militia groups, fascists, and ultra-nationalists–can freeze the machinery of collective mind. A shutdown of urban diversity devastates that exercise of collective acumen we call an economy. Christian Fundamentalism has been shown by the research of sociologists Alfred Darnell and Darren E. Sherkat to retard the learning of children raised within its grasp. Darnell and Sherkat sum up a common Fundamentalist attitude in the following words: “No schooling is better than secular schooling.” Then there’s the paralysis of thought which outright battle brings. When World War I erupted, Sigmund Freud was horrified by the sudden “narrow-mindedness shown by [even] the best intellects, their obduracy, their inaccessibility to the most forcible arguments.” Such closings of the mind may explain why authoritarians are prone to ignore it when their approaches flop. They often goose-step from one year to another rigidly glued to backfiring ways.”

            Your efforts are great, I like them. I’m belittling the presentation which I think will undercut your message a little.

            Up to you, I’m just offering my input, didn’t mean any kind of offense by it.

              Up to you, I’m just offering my input, didn’t mean any kind of offense by it.

              I have autism, I get feedback like yours every single time I communicate in private or public since age 10. I’ve been a professional in social media since 1984 in high school. I get offended so much that people give you this style of conformity direction every time you speak or communicate in public I’ve been giving !RemedialMorality@lemm.ee lessons and teaching people how to have diversity in their reading via !JamesJoyce@lemm.ee here on Lemmy.

              The worst part is when people act like you aren’t self-aware of your communications differences and that you don’t run an entire website on the subject: https://www.gutknechtautism.org/QuotesAndQuotes

              No one on Lemmy is with Elon Musk and Joe Rogan and so on.

              Are you gullible, naive? You really think the richest man in the world with his own global ISP (StarLink) and the world’s largest machine training center doesn’t have people here? I used to work for the 1st and 3rd richest persons in the world in social media systems in Bellevue Washington… on their private staff with Edward Snowden level access to their private data. I’m not here for entertainment memes. I’m on my deathbed and doing everything I can to defend NATO (and USA my home nation) against the world’s most sophisticated monomyth mind-fuck ever created that was released in March 2013 on Reddit, Twitter, news comment sections, etc.

              “Associative thinkers see relations and connections everywhere and tend not to categorize things. When I hear or read a certain word, I suddenly see a lot of “pictures” in my mind that have something to do with that word. This happens in quite an unstructured and even chaotic way. It’s a complicated spiderweb of memories, pictures, and thoughts.” - Casey “Remrov” Vormer, Connecting With The Autism Spectrum: How To Talk, How To Listen, And Why You Shouldn’t Call It High-Functioning. more from the book here: https://www.gutknechtautism.org/QuotesAndQuotes

                Okay. I’m not trying to be unsympathetic with anything in your situation man. I’m telling you how choosing to append stuff to the end of your post titles that makes them look like spam is going to come across to people, and some factual misunderstandings that you seem to have about your audience on Lemmy. Because I think your message is an important one. None of it had anything to do with conformity.

                I think you need to get out of the habit of telling people, in effect, “I’m neurodivergent so shut up I am right and here is how to be better in the future please.” Simply having these challenges doesn’t mean you’re automatically right about everything and people need to shut up and do it your way, any more than you would need to do the same on your side. It’s just a human-to-human interaction. That’s it. It’s a give and take. None of what I was telling you had anything to do with policing your communications differences. You can be into my advice or not, and it sounds like you’re not, which is your right and best of luck with it.

                  Lecturing me on media ecology behaviors of audiences and how “the medium is the message”… I’m giving lessons on that for you too: !MediaEcology@lemm.ee

                  You should see how they react on Reddit when I do it, their fragile egomania goes into a tailspin. They can’t accept anything outside of HiveMind speak either.

                  None of what I was telling you had anything to do with policing your communications differences.

                  You think I’m gullible. It is “conformity enforcement”. The “Lemmy HiveMind” of April 2025 conventions.

                  Simply having these challenges doesn’t mean you’re automatically right about everything

                  Gee, you think? Does anything make anyone automatically right? You are just here to insult me, over and over. You know what makes me right… studying media ecology and knowing the difference between Internet culture year 2012 and year 2025. And what Russian information warfare has done to people’s egoism.

                  Second reply.

                  I think you need to get out of the habit of telling people, in effect, “I’m neurodivergent so shut up I am right

                  A dehumanizing bully comes along, and you want me to bow down to the bully. I didn’t tell you to shut up. I was pretty clear that this is extremely serious topics (Hybrid War being lost to Russia, lose of “Hearts and Minds”) to me from the very creation of the Lemmy community. I’m not here for meme entertainment and moving around the deck chairs on the Titanic as it sinks. I explained to you that I have since age 10 heard this style of feedback about autism masking, put your mask on over and over. And I’m not fucking here on Lemmy to hide my individual humanism because machine users want conformity in April 2025.

                  The White House is under Kremlin / Putin / Russia influence to justify disease outbreaks and deaths because of autism. This isn’t some trivial issue about my personal ego, I’m not here to blend in with the Lemmy community that shows zero concern about how fiction wrecks non-fiction. I’m here standing up against mass dehumanization. “Autism community fears RFK Jr. would set back decades of progress. Advocates worry that as HHS secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could undermine years of work to unlink autism and vaccines and divert precious research dollars to a discredited theory.”

                  All this bullshit is a direct result of Kremlin War Against Reality on the topic of vaccination that has documented evidence of Twitter going back to year 2014. And I know first hand on many other media platforms, which nobody has been open enough to share validated Russian data from for researchers. People keep brushing it under the rug.
