I am currently using an osprey 26+6 backpack. Not the most comfortable carry, but works for me. I can fit a weeks worth of clothes without expanding. Like the clamshell opening.

In the past, I have used an Ogio Metro backpack. Similar capacity, or even more. Lots of pockets and organization. No clamshell opening, so I typically used an Eagle Creek garment folder to easily slid the bundle of clothes in and out.

IKEA Världens. 650g 26 litres. Sooooo inexpensive.

I have a previous version which is clamshell but didn’t have removable bag (has interior pockets). Mine also doesn’t have tote handles (can live with this) or external bottle holder (which is a minus). I just got back from a 2 week summer trip, including laptop and some bulky running gear.

Being really light is good if you have to be careful with cabin baggage allowance. It means it’s not as robust as some, but there’s a no questions asked guarantee.
