Bit confusing of a title. Sixth sense guy won against the lady who sued him for 81 million for copying original elements such as a woman holding a doll, and fainting.

Basically a troll looking for a payday, and she lost

I don’t know about a troll. She’s a director doing mostly TV stuff. It’s not like she made a movie in 2013 and waited in hiding for another movie to come up with the idea of someone treating a doll like a real child and having a nanny look after it to spring her trap.

I mean, it’s a pretty specific setup. I can see how you’d get mad about it, but also how it would just be an idea two people come up with well within the limits of the rules. I don’t think one needs to take sides beyond the outcome of the case on this one.

Starring Jessica Biel and Kaya Scodelario, The Truth About Emanuel, played at the Sundance Film Festival when it was first released. It did not have much success, grossing just $226 in Los Angeles and $9 from one viewer in Philadelphia.

    OUCH haha

Haven’t seen with of these but seeing these articles remind me of the movie The Boy but no lawsuit there.

Maybe the lack of fainting is the key.
